Ronald Lee Smith, 77, of Fulton, passed away at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics on Monday, December 17, 2018. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 9, 1941, the son of the late Milford F. Smith and the late Margaret Christine Krimminger. On March 19, 1961, Ron was united in marriage to Pamelia Ann (Smart) Smith who survives his passing. Ron proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed family activities, hunting and fishing, and working. Ron always maintained a positive attitude and can-do spirit. Those remaining to mourn his passing include his wife of 57 years; sons, Jay Smith (Nancy) of Olathe, Kan., Jeffrey Smith of Plano, Texas; daughters, Laurie A. Qualls (Michael) of Fulton, Kathy Luster (Dean) of O'Fallon; sisters, June Shurtz of Florrisant, Nancy Patterson (Bob) of Foristell, and Diane Knarr of Overland; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, Ron was preceded in death by brother, Frank Smith. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Glenn Foreman officiating. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
