Floyd Elgin Smith II, 61, of Williamsburg, passed away at his home on Sunday, December 9, 2018. He was born in Callaway County on December 2, 1957, the son of Floyd Elgin Smith and Minnie Ann (Steinmetz) Smith. On December 23, 1977, Elgin was united in marriage to Donna (Jokisch) Smith who survives his passing. Elgin was a self-employed businessman and owner of Elgin Smith Salvage. He was also a logger. Elgin enjoyed hunting and looking through picture books. He was musically inclined and could play drums and guitar. Elgin loved spending time with his family, especially his three grandchildren. He was a life-long member of Church of God Worldwide Association. Those remaining to mourn his passing include his wife, Donna; sons, Gregory Smith, Kevin Smith, and Chad Smith (Felicia), all of Williamsburg; brothers, Guy and Dan Smith of Williamsburg; sister, Elaine Kime of Fulton; three grandchildren, Catrina, Dominick, and Naomi; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Elgin was preceded in death by mother-in-law, Ginny Jokisch; and brother-in-law, Dr. Marlin Kime. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Greg Sargent officiating. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Williamsburg Cemetery. A carry-in dinner will follow at 54 Country.
