Brooks Craghead

Brooks "Pete" Craghead, 86, of Fulton, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Presbyterian Manor. He was born in Fulton, Missouri on June 17, 1932, the son of the late Crawford Craghead and the late Audrey (Brooks) Craghead. On August 19, 1956, Pete married Janet (Bickel) Craghead. She preceded him in death on September 4, 2015. Pete proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Until his retirement following more than 40 years of service, Pete worked at Callaway Electric Cooperative where he was a Line Superintendent. Pete enjoyed bowling and golf. In his younger years, he played baseball on a team from Calwood. Pete was a gifted wood craftsman. He loved antiques, and passed his vast knowledge along to his son, Blake. Pete will be sorely missed by his son, Blake Craghead of Kansas City; and sister, Norma Harris of Jefferson City. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers, John and Vernon Craghead; and sister, Joretta Phelps. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
