Charlotte Sue Jones, 70, of Fulton, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Boone Hospital. She was born in Portageville, Missouri on December 13, 1947, the daughter of the late Virgil R. Jones and the late Ethel J. (Scott) Jones. On June 8, 1968, Charlotte was united in marriage to Jessie Jones. He survives her passing. Charlotte retired from William Woods University where she worked in the Business Office. She attended Heartland Church of the Nazarene. Her hobbies included traveling, reading, and crocheting. One of her true joys was attending events in support of her children and grandchildren. An active member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Charlotte served at the Post, District, and State levels. She also served as the Missouri State President. Charlotte was very active in promoting and educating students and adults on patriotism and flag etiquette. She loved to volunteer with Central Missouri Honor Flight. Charlotte will be deeply missed by her husband of 50 years; son, James Jones (Becky) of Shephard, Mich.; daughters, Lisa Clines (Shane) of Fulton, and Julie Hawkins (Johnny) of Fulton; and grandchildren, Matthew Jones, Natalie Jones, Jesse Jones, Savannah Jones, Olivia Jones, Elijah Jones, Trenton Clines, Paige Clines, Haley Hawkins, Mylee Hawkins, Andrew Moore and Kevin Henley. Along with her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by brothers, Virgil and Johnny Jones; and sister, Joyce Jones. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018, at Maupin Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Garrett officiating. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri.
