Larry Allen Wilkerson

Larry Allen Wilkerson, 73, of Fulton, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at his home. He was born in Columbia, Missouri on October 30, 1944, the son of the late John Hiram Wilkerson and the late Myrtle Dove (Kennedy) Wilkerson. On May 21, 1966, Larry was united in marriage to Joyce Faye (Burton) Wilkerson. She survives his passing. Larry loved and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He believed in the positive power of attitude and named his trucking company Lil' Attitude, Inc. A man of God and strong faith, Larry was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially gardening. He also liked to travel and visit with everyone. Larry was a dedicated family man who believed strongly in education. He supported his family unconditionally and treasured the times he spent with them. Those remaining to cherish his memory include his wife of 52 years; daughter, Lori A. Palmer (Matthew) of Fulton; sons, John H. Wilkerson of Bloomington, Ind., Marcus A. Wilkerson (Miriam) of Hampden, Maine; brother, James Edward Wilkerson (Wanda) of Marion, Ark.; sister, Linda L. Wilkerson-Branch of Fulton; and grandchildren, Thomas, Julia, Christina, and Nathan Palmer, and Garrison, Lorelei, John, and Chael Wilkerson. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fulton with Jay Hitchcock officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Inurnment will be in White Cloud Cemetery.
