Caroline Faye Kelsay Paul, 70, formerly of Fulton, entered into Heaven and was reunited with her husband, Clayton, on April 14, 2018, at her home in Jefferson City, Missouri. Caroline was born on December 21, 1947, in Mexico, Missouri to Everett Lee and Clara Mae (Martin) Kelsay. She married James Clayton Paul on April 18, 1964, in Auxvasse. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2010. Caroline was known to all as a singularly good woman. She was kind, loving, and generous to every soul she ever met. She was a person you could count on to be there when you needed help. She was someone who would listen to another's problems, and never find fault or gossip about what she heard. She loved animals and always surrounded herself with living creatures who thrived under her care. She gave names to each of her chickens and goats, and understood their needs and personalities. Her greatest love was for her family. She was a devoted wife and mother, and left her job at South Callaway Schools to care for her husband full time when he became ill. She was by his side, every minute of every day, as long as he needed her. Her constant care and loving attention brought him back, time after time, when doctors and other family members didn't think it was possible. Caroline Paul is survived by three daughters, Sue Lucas, of Fulton, Judy Mays, of Jefferson City, and Tammy (Bill) Groven, of Carrington; three grandchildren, Ashley Mays, Lillian Lucas, and Levi Groven; one great-grandson, Devin Mays; two brothers, Mason Kelsay, and Dean Kelsay, of Mexico, Mo.; one sister, Darline Heitmeyer, of Paris, Mo.; sister-in-law, Carolyn Branch; brother-in-law, David Paul and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens.
