Russell Lee Glover

Russell Lee Glover, 95, of Fulton, Mo., passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. He was born on January 16, 1922 in Callaway County, Mo., the son of Willard Theodore and Margaret "Maggie" (Brown) Glover, who preceded him in death. He was the fifth of ten children born to the union. Russell attended Callaway County Public School and he joined church at a young age. He was a lifetime member of Paris Fork United Methodist Church, he loved his church. He was married on December 27, 1943 to the love of his life, Helen Jackson, who preceded him in death in 2002. In 1987, he retired from the State of Missouri after 30 years of service. Russell loved his family, hunting, fishing, farming and church barbeques. In later years, he became the jigsaw puzzle king. Survivors include: one daughter, Bonnie Glover Smith of Fulton, Mo.; two brothers, Willard Glover Jr (Jessie) of Fulton, Mo. and Donnie Glover of Fulton, Mo.; one sister, Leona Hamilton of Kansas City, Mo.; one grandson, Roger L. Glover (Ashley); five great-grandchildren, Reneisha Ambrose, Kaila Jefferson, Emerald Glover, Escaslonae (EJ) Glover, and Dawna Glover; three great-great-grandchildren, Keileigh Ambrose, Kasia Glover and Azarhi Glover; son-in-law, Robert Triplett (Debra); special grandson, Lorenzo Powell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothy Glover Triplett; and six siblings, Allene, Maureen, Nelson, James, Wilbur, and Wendell. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St. James United Methodist Church, 720 Westminster Ave., Fulton, Mo. Burial will follow at Paris Fork Cemetery near New Bloomfield, Mo. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the church.
