David R. (Shull) Martin

David R. (Shull) Martin, 72, of Fulton, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at his home in Fulton, Mo. David was born on January 16, 1945 in Ft. Scott, Kan., the son of Estill McCager and Opal (Reeder) Shull, who preceded him in death. He was married on January 14, 1996 in Carrington, Mo., to Julie Fay Barnes, who survives of the home. He retired on July 31, 2005 from Harbison Walker Refractories as a rotary kiln operator. David enjoyed John Deere tractors, baseball, watching soaps and Judge Judy, and reading Louis L'Amour. Other survivors include: two sons, Thomas Shull (Lacy) of Cuba, Mo. and David Shull (Jamie) of Holts Summit, Mo.; five daughters, Sandra Vandelicht (Kevin), Marsha Pugh (Eddie), Vicki Adams (Randy), Tamara Russell (Ryan) and Melissa Dews (Chad), all of Fulton, Mo.; one brother, Michael Martin (Marsha) of Oklahoma; one sister, Jilly Lynn (Charlie) of Martinsburg, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and eight Yorkie grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Dawna Martin, and two brothers, Carmie Martin and Phillip Shull. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Debo Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will Rev. Bruce Williamson. Inurnment will follow at a later date in Ft. Scott, Kan.
