Yvonne Elisabeth Weeks, 20, of Fulton, Mo., fell asleep on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at her home, in Fulton, Mo. Born in Iceland as a United States citizen, Yvonne Elisabeth Weeks lived a life of duality. She was the surviving embryo of what would have been a set of twins. She had a penchant for seeking attention, yet paradoxically being too shy to be that self-serving. On the first day of grade school, she went attired in a cowboy hat, boots, and a frilly skirt, even though she never cottoned to the farmer way of life. There was music that drew her to learn to play the recorder, the piano, the harp. She took voice tutoring so she could sing well in the Chamber Choir in high school, and performed solos with a lilting voice that would make you sit up and take notice. When she began her young adult working life, she rose quickly to the responsibilities at Walgreens, eventually becoming a Pharmacy Tech. Her congenial manner and attention to detail made all her customers appreciate her presence and carefulness to their needs. Her life ended tragically short, leaving a large hole in the lives of her family and all those who knew her. Twenty years and fifteen days was not long enough for her to be the daughter of Thomas and Angela Weeks, so eternity will be the next span to know her heart. Yvonne is survived by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and seven nieces. She now awaits the return of Jesus Christ and all the glory thereafter. Arrangements are under the direction of Maupin Funeral Home. Any donations may be given to Maupin Funeral Home toward the arrangements.
