Albert Wayne Robbins Jr.

Albert Wayne Robbins Jr., 66, of Columbia, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics. He was born in Franklinton, La. on August 30, 1951, the son of the late Albert W. Robbins Sr. and the late Irma (Magee) Robbins. On June 9, 1984, Wayne was united in marriage to Sharon (Bradford) Robbins. She survives his passing. Wayne retired from teaching at West Monroe High School in West Monroe, La. He was the former Music Director at First Presbyterian Church in Fulton. An active musician in both Louisiana and Missouri, he sang with the Monroe Symphony Orchestra, Monroe Little Theater, and directed music at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Monroe, La. Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching his sons play soccer. Those remaining to cherish Wayne's memory include his wife of 33 years; sons, Alex Wayne Robbins and Joshua Bradford Robbins of Columbia; brothers, Dennis Robbins (Lyne) of Franklinton, La., and Kent Robbins (Michelle) of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; five nieces and one great-niece. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church in Fulton with Reverend Marshall Crossnoe officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
