Jessie L. Bartley, 78, of Mokane, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born in Fulton on May 3, 1939, the daughter of the late Joseph Milton Taylor and the late Mildred Pauline (Holzhauser) Taylor. On March 21, 1959, Jessie was united in marriage to Richard "Bee" Bartley. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2015. Jessie retired from Callaway Bank following 36 years of employment. She loved to be outdoors and riding horses. Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brought her a great deal of pleasure. Jessie will be greatly missed by her family, including son, Rick Bartley (Robin) of Tebbetts; daughters, Cindy Warden of Mokane, and Karen Pickering (Bob) of Frankford, Mo.; brothers, James Taylor (Debbie) of Mokane, Jerry Taylor of Holts Summit, and Jack Taylor (Nina) of Jefferson City; sisters, Jo Anne Clingman (Carl) of Steedman, Juanita Clingman (Jerry) of Steedman, and Janice Miller (Johnny) of Fulton; and grandchildren, Jessica Parker, Jona Warden, Dani Schmidbauer, Chelsie Bartley, Meagan Vandelicht, and Tyler Bartley; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, Jessie was preceded in death by a brother, John Taylor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Steedman Cemetery.
