John O. Twitchell

John O. Twitchell, 70, of Fulton, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics. He was born in Fulton on December 7, 1946, the son of the late Jesse E. Twitchell and the late Helen (Salmons) Twitchell. John proudly serviced his country in the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War. He retired from Fulton State Hospital. He enjoyed playing cards and loved to get in the car and go to different places. Those remaining to cherish his memory include sons, John E. Twitchell (Jonee Shackelford) of Fulton, and Ben Twitchell of Fulton; daughter, Christina Twitchell (Eric) of Mexico; brother, Eddie Twitchell (Kathie) of Fulton; sister, Trudy Witt of Fulton; girlfriend, Pat Collins and her family; grandchildren, Steven and Ryan Buchanan, Jonathen, Mason, and Samantha Twitchell, and Austin and Chance Parks (Owie); and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Mike Crowson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
