Lisa Joyce Byrd Simmons

Lisa Joyce Byrd Simmons, 51, of Kingdom City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017, at her home. Lisa was born on February 5, 1966 in Mexico, Missouri to Charles Byrd and Linda Fox. She attended North Callaway High School. She worked for many years in Kingdom City at Gaspers and Westland. She enjoyed playing games and eating mutton but her greatest joy came from attending family gatherings and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her father, Charles (Marsha) Byrd of Fulton; mother, Linda Browning of Fulton; daughters, Danielle Simmons of Platte City, Emily Simmons of Kingdom City, Makayla Garriott of St. Louis, Marissa Hoffmeister of Fulton and Tara Garriott of Mexico; step-daughters, Tara (Jered) Crawford and Casey (John) Bishop, both of Auxvasse; fiancé, Johnnie Duckworth of Kingdom City; brother, Michael "Dusty" Byrd of Calwood; sisters, Michelle "Shelly" Schroer and Angela Browning, both of Fulton; along with seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Bruce Williamson at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri. Burial will follow at Ebeneezer Cemetery near Fulton. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
