F.W. (Woody) Winborn

F.W. (Woody) Winborn, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at his home in Callaway County. He born in 1942 in St. Joseph, Mo., to Woodrow T. and Helen Winborn, Woody and his wife Carol lived in Callaway County for the past four years and attended Hams Prairie Christian Church. Woody served in the military and as a law enforcement officer. He was employed and retired with TWA after 32 years. He is survived by his wife, Carol; his sister, Alma Tritten of Waynesville, Mo; his daughter, Chris Gaddy of St. Joseph, Mo.; daughter, Kimberly Foley of Nixea, Mo.; son, Todd Winborn of Independence, Mo.; step-son, Sammy Bland of Crowville, La.; step-son, Brian Bland of Jonesboro, Ar.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends. Woody was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, his uncle and one aunt. According to his wishes, Woody's body was donated to science. It was Woody's and is Carol's wish that in lieu of flowers or gifts, any donations be given to the Hams Prairie Christian Church for paving the parking lot. A memorial service will be held at the Hams Prairie Christian Church on Thursday, May 4, 11:00 a.m. All are encouraged to join family and friends for a meal following.
