Norman Roscoe Day, 88, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at his home. Norman was born on March 11, 1929 in Aurora, Missouri to Tom and Burtie Greenwood Day. He was married on March 19, 1949 to Edna Gertrude Salmons and she preceded him in death in 2006. He worked 46 years at Harbison-Walker in Fulton until his retirement. Norman enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, farming, taking care of his mules, spending time with his grandkids, family and friends, but one of his greatest loves was sitting on his porch waving at the cars and "watching the world go by". He is survived by daughters, Kathy (Day) and her husband Billy Atterberry, Karen (Day) and her husband Doug Kelley; daughter-in-law, Anne (Bellamy) Day; sister, Loreta Raithel; grandkids, Rodney Atterberry, Jacob (Shannon) Kelley; Jessica Kelley, Tommy John Day; great-grandkids, Christian Atterberry, Bishop Foster, Gus Foster and Andrew Kelley. In addition to his wife, Edna, he was also preceded in death by his father, Tommy Day; mother, Burtie Spillars; step-father, Tinnie Spillars; son, Robert Eugene Day; brothers, Gerall Day and Billy Eugene Day; and sisters, Oveta Day and Chrystena Witt. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Bruce Williamson at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery near Fulton. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association or National Parkinson's Foundation both in care of Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, MO 65251.
