Dale Sexton

Dale Sexton, 77, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017, at his home in Millersburg, Mo. after a lengthy illness. He was born December 9, 1939, the son of the late Millard and Flora (Stapleton) Sexton. He was united in marriage to Janet Jesse-Sexton, she survives at the home. In addition to his wife Janet, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters, Paula St. Clair and her husband Vann of Columbia, Mo. and Michelle Murphy and her husband Carl of Columbia, Mo.; four step-children, Jada, Connie, Joe and Clint; seven grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several step- great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, William (Bill) Sexton, Millard Sexton Jr. and Gerald Sexton. Dale served his country in the Missouri National Guard from 1963 to 1969. He worked as a truck driver for the Callaway County Nuclear Plant for 23 years. He was a member of Teamsters #833 and enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, gardening and woodworking. He took great pride in his yard, flowers and feeding his sidekick, Coal, a poodle. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, Mo. Interment will be in the Mt. Horeb Cemetery in Sturgeon, Mo. Visitation was from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, Mo.
