Cynthia May Salmons

Cynthia May Salmons, 56, of Fulton, left this world to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 18, 2017, after a lengthy illness. She was born on December 9, 1960 in Columbia, the daughter of Kenneth and Lucille (Fletcher) Winingear. Cynthia grew up on the family farm, one of five siblings. She attended McCredie Grade School and North Callaway High School. Most of her adult life was spent working at Comfort Inn, Missouri Department of Corrections, Walmart and several other jobs, including private nursing. Cynthia was married to Everette Raymond Salmons for several years. They had two daughters, Josie Lynn Salmons-Himes and Rebecca Leigh Salmons. Her greatest love was her family and friends. She loved to travel, grow gardens and play with her grandchildren. Surviving her passing are her daughters, Josie Lynn Himes (Daniel) and Rebecca Leigh Salmons (Joseph Parker); grandchildren, Desiree, KayLei, and Paulo Jr. Morales, Anabeth MayLynn and Dominic Parker, and baby-to-be, David Wayne Parker; mother, Lucille Christopher; sisters, Karen Gilmore (Elvis), Linda Lootens (John), Carol Winingear (Patty); sister-in-law, Rosie J. Winingear (Russ); and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Also surviving are her dearest friends, Everette Raymond and Kathy Salmons, Elmer and Denise Womack, Pam and Nicki; Etta Farmer, who was like a sister; and special aunt and uncle, Bill and Rosemary Fletcher. Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Winingear; step-father, Billy Christopher; and brother, Bill Winingear. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 22 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
