Dorothy Craighead

Dorothy Craighead, 77, of Fulton, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at her home. She was born in Iowa on October 8, 1939, the daughter of the late Jessie Newland and the late Hattie (Skelton) Newland. Dorothy worked as a cashier at Iron Skillet Restaurant. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing BINGO. Dorothy was instrumental in helping raise many of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those remaining to cherish her memory include her partner of more than 20 years, Scott Dickens; sons, John Doyle (Diane) of Tenn., and Larry Doyle (Hope) of Fla.; daughter, Georgia West (Gary Klick) of Mokane; brother, Charlie Newland (Sue) of Auxvasse; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kadena Hardin; and brothers, Donald and Dennis Newland. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Mike Crowson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
