Henrietta "Fay" Burget, 82, of Auxvasse, was called home on Friday, June 2, 2017. She was born on December 28, 1934, in Centralia, Missouri, the daughter of the late Henry Albert Jennings and the late Edna Gertrude (Griggs) Belts. On August 15, 1997, Fay was united in marriage to John Burget. He preceded her in death in October 29, 2005. Fay and John ran an accounting office in Auxvasse. She was an asset to the Auxvasse Community through her service with the Auxvasse Lion's Club and delivering meals and assisting elderly citizens less fortunate that herself. For many years, she was a Sunday School teacher at Grand Prairie Baptist. Fay is survived by step-children, W. C. Lamberson and Mary Crouder Lamb and their children; step-brother, James Frank Clark; step-sister, Geneva Tanner; nephews, James Clark Jr., Jon Clark, Cecil Clark (Cherie), Donald Clark (Pauline), Jerry Exendine, Darren Exendine (Jeanne), and Bryan Exendine; nieces, Anita L. Clark, Anita M. Ward, Patty Clark, and Angelique Richardson; numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews; and close friends, Ruth Logerman, Carolyn McMurtry, Mechelle Hansen, Donal Knipp, and Jack Burton. Along with her parents and husband, Fay was preceded in death by step-mother, Mini Jennings; sister, Dulcie Exendine; and step-brother, James Frank Clark. A Memorial Service honoring Fay's life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017, at Auxvasse Christian Church with Reverend Alan Bailey officiating. Attendees are encouraged to share their stories about Fay. A private family service will be held prior with burial in Auxvasse Cemetery.
