Wayne Lee Raps

Wayne Lee Raps, 79, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on July 5, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Mexico, Missouri. Wayne was born November 26, 1937 in Calwood, Missouri to John Henry and Era Hamilton Raps, who preceded him in death. He married Virginia Horn of Fulton and later married Thelma Lampkins. She preceded him in death. Wayne attended Pugh School in Calwood and worked for many years as a coal miner in northern Missouri until his retirement. Along with his son, Delbert, he owned D&R Mobile Home Moving Company. He enjoyed working around his house and taking care of all types of animals, but he especially loved his dogs and cats. Wayne is survived by son, Delbert (Tammy) Raps of Fulton; daughter, Vicky (Robert) Shoemaker of Columbia, Missouri; step-sons, Randy (Julie) Lampkins of Springfield, Missouri, Darrell (Bobbi) Lampkins of Columbia and Dewey of Fulton; step-daughter, Debbie (Howard) Skidmore of Westphalia, Missouri; sister, Louise (Bennie) Wetherell of Fulton; along with numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving family members. He was also preceded in death by long time companion, Edna; brothers, Donald, Billy and Odie Raps; and sister, Dorothy Jean Neal. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15 , 2017 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Wayne's family will receive guests from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
