Ernest Lee Franklin

Ernest Lee Franklin, 84, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017, at his home. Ernest was born January 21, 1933 in Fulton to Homer and Vera Bullard Franklin, who preceded him in death. He was married to Patricia Bond and later to Doris Sauvageot, who both preceded him in death. Ernest attended Fulton Public Schools and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp to serve in the Korean War. He owned Zemps Tire Service in Fulton and had worked at Callaway Nuclear Plant and Georgia Power and Light until his retirement. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Fulton and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. He also enjoyed being a part of Civil War reenactments as a member of the Sons of the Confederacy. Ernest is survived by daughters, Brenda (Bruce) Ragan, Patty Franklin and Pamela Glascock; step-daughter, Collette Cosma; step-sons, Craig (Mona) Sauvageot and Paul Sauvageot; grandchildren, Melissa (Rustin) Dutcher, Brandon Glascock, Sophia Glascock, Dessa Cosma, Andre Sauvageot, Phillip Sauvageot and Evan Sauvageot; great-grandchildren, Ragan Dutcher, Finley Dutcher and Shelbie Witmer-Sauvageot; along with special nephew, Richard (Beverly) Franklin. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Franklin. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Inurnment with military honors will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
