Ruth Pauline McCormack

Ruth Pauline McCormack, 98, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Presbyterian Manor. Ruth was born October 15, 1919 in Montgomery County to Paul and Oleta Craig Stiegman, who preceded her in death. She was married to Eugene Wilson McCormack on May 15, 1939 in St. Charles, Missouri and he preceded her in death in 1994. Ruth attended Loutre Valley and Mineola Schools, both in the Mineola area. After living in St. Charles, Montgomery County and Hartsburg, Missouri, she moved to Callaway County in 1947. After raising her family, she worked at the Fulton State Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of Mineola Methodist Church and Readsville Bethel Methodist Church. Ruth also was a member of the Mokane Eastern Star and Fulton Eastern Star #35. Ruth enjoyed cooking and made many wedding cakes and other special occasion cakes. She also enjoyed needlework, painting, fishing, traveling, jigsaw puzzles and visiting with her friends, but her greatest love was taking care of her family. She is survived by sons, Paul McCormack of Fulton, John McCormack of Stephens, Missouri, Gary (Nellie) McCormack of Fulton and Eugene (Carolyn) McCormack Jr. of Reform, Missouri; daughters, Betty Dixon of Fulton and Carol (Phil) Brock of Columbia, Missouri; grandchildren, Janet, Joe, Steven, Susan, Mike, Shelly, Christina, Stephen, Jesse, Jennifer, Rusty, Terry, Vicky, David, Brandi and Amanda; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ruth was also preceded in death by her sister, Lurline Woodroof; daughter-in-laws, Kathryn McCormack and Lynda McCormack; son-in-laws, Earl McElyea and Arthur Dixon; and granddaughter, Karen McCormack. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Montgomery City Cemetery in Montgomery City, Missouri. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2017 and will include an Eastern Star service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Missouri Honor Flight or the Soup Kitchen in Fulton, both in care of Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, MO 65251.
