Hazel A. Butcher

Hazel A. Butcher, 68, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017, at her home. Hazel was born November 5, 1948, the daughter of the late Herman D. Suttmoller and Pearl H. Bellamy Gowin Suttmoller. She was married on September 4, 1986 in Fulton to Keith Butcher. She retired from the Fulton State Hospital as Director of Environmental Services and Laundry. She enjoyed shopping, reading and playing games on her computer. Hazel loved having the family get-togethers when they all come home and also spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband, Keith E. Butcher of the home; three daughters, Sonia L. Allen, Rebecca J. Boston and Tiffany M. (Matthew) Roderick, all of Fulton; three step-children, Kimberly (Robert) Slote of Fulton, Keith A. (Melissa) Butcher of Steedman and Anita J. (John) Ford of Kansas; six grandchildren, Amber L. Salcedo of Fulton, Levi R. Allen of Colorado, DJ Boston of Mexico, Missouri, Tyler R. Boston, Roy Lee Travis and Jackson B. Roderick all of Fulton; eight step-grandchildren, Greg Martin of Hawaii, Charles Martin of Auxvasse, Missouri, Timothy Martin of Colorado, Maria Buckner of Fulton, Danny Slote of Eugene, Missouri, Kaitlin Ford of Rolla, Missouri, Shona Ford of Kansas and Deven Butcher of Steedman; and 16 great-grandchildren. Hazel was also preceded in death by one half-brother, Charles Nevell; one brother, Henry Suttmoller; one sister, Judy M. Weeks; one daughter, Tabatha A. Young; two grandsons, Ryan L. Young and Dakota W. Boston; and one great-grandchild, Aiden M. Irvin. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Church of God Holiness in Fulton. Burial will follow at Steedman Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, in care of Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, MO 65251.
