Rachel Taylor Eickelman

Rachel Taylor Eickelman, age 22 of Mexico, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016, at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia. Rachel was born on July 7, 1994, in Highland Park, Ill., the daughter of Richard Eugene and Lisa Maureen Rothschild Eickelman. Surviving family include her father of Bowling Green; brothers, Sean Eickelman of Fulton and Richard Eickelman of Valier, Ill.; grandparents, many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lisa in 2014, and sister, Stephanie Eickelman in December 2015. She grew up in Fulton, graduated from North Callaway High School in 2012. Rachel had lived in Columbia where she attended the University of Missouri, later moving to Bowling Green and Mexico. She was working as a correction's officer at the Women's Eastern Reception and Diagnostic Correctional Center in Vandalia. She was a music artist, writing and performing her songs on the guitar. Rachel enjoyed nature, camping and taking float trips and being with her family and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at 1:00 a.m. at the Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Jeremy Wallace officiating. Burial will be in the Green Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Eickelman, Sean Eickelman, Alex Wahlgren, Sam Wahlgren, Kaden Jenkins, Chance Sinroll and Matt Calhoun. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
