Winifred Violet Witt

Winifred Violet Witt, 95, formerly of Auxvasse, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016, at Presbyterian Manor in Fulton, Missouri. Violet was born November 10, 1920, in Montgomery County, Missouri to Charles and Judy Northern Scott Sr. and they preceded her in death. She was married to Alva Joel Witt on December 1, 1937, in Fulton and he preceded her in death in 1987. Violet liked to travel but she especially loved to spend time at home reading and being with her family. She is survived by sister, Joan M. Hurt of Indianapolis, Indiana; sister-in-law, Joy L. Scott of Auxvasse; grandchildren, Elaina Fletcher and Justin Witt; great-grandchildren, Jennifer, B.J. and Cody along with four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Violet was also preceded in death by son, Alva Ray Witt; brother, Charles Scott Jr. and sister, Myla Doyle. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2016, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow at Auxvasse City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
