Billy Ray Perkins, 80, of Columbia, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at his home. Billy was born on February 28, 1936 in Wilton, Mo., the son of the late William and Laura (Nichols) Perkins. On August 2, 1992, he was united in marriage to Sherry (Jones) Perkins, who survives of the home. Billy was a home builder, worked in street construction, and owned Billy's General Store and Billy's Joint Sealing, LLC. He was a member of McCredie United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, playing pitch, visiting with his customers and friends, trips to Branson, and candy. Other survivors include a son, Bruce Perkins (Cheryl); two grandchildren, Weston Perkins (Tera) and Meredith Craig (Jeremy); three great-grandchildren, Jacoby Craig, Waylon Perkins and Quin Marie Perkins; and one sister, Erma Bennet. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
