Dale Kent Saxe

Dale Kent Saxe, 64, formerly of Fulton, Mo., passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at The Neighborhoods in Columbia, Mo. Dale was born December 23, 1951, in Fulton, to Francis and Freida Dicks Saxe and they preceded him in death. He was married to Brenda Hoover, who still survives, in Fulton on June 14, 1971, and they were married for 20 years. He was a 1970 graduate of Fulton High School and attended Lincoln University where he was a member of the R.O.T.C. Dale had worked at Columbia Foods and then for Watlow Electric in Columbia until his retirement. While working he became a member of various electrical and welding unions. Dale's greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren but his first true passion was motorcycles. He enjoyed taking trips on his motorcycles, which included many trips to Sturgis, and was a member of the Harley Owners Group and the American Motorcycle Association. He also enjoyed artwork and he was a member of the N.R.A. who liked to hunt and go to the shooting range with his guns. He is survived by children, Levi (Megan) Saxe of Columbia, Cody (Amy) Saxe of Lake Tahoe, Calif. and Ciera (Michael) Harris of Pensacola, Fla.; sister, Sharon (Arthur) Hogan of Texas; and grandchildren, Jordan, Brandon, Dylan and Jackson. He was also preceded in death by a special uncle and aunt, James "Bud" and Katherine "Kaye" Hostetter. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton, Mo. Burial will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Dale's family encourages any motorcyclists attending the funeral to ride that day. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Myeloma Research in care of Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, MO 65251 or feel free to send or bring your favorite food to share during the visitation on Tuesday.
