Donna Carrol Burry

Donna Carrol Burry, age 78, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016, and the Lord said to Donna, well done thou good and faithful servant, welcome home, as she entered the gates of Heaven. Donna was born June 13, 1938, in Fulton, Missouri to W. Raymond and Rosanna McClellan Dillon who preceded her in death. She was married on February 2, 1959, in Fulton to Earl Burry Jr. and he survives. She was a 1956 graduate of Fulton High School and had worked at the Fulton Cinema and as a bus driver for Fulton Public Schools. She also was the owner of Donna's Bric-A-Brac Antique Store. Donna was a Southern Baptist and enjoyed helping with Prison Ministry. She was a 4-H leader who taught crocheting and had worked for over 20 years on her family's genealogy. She will be remembered as someone who always helped others and her greatest love was caring for and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband of 57 years, Donna is also survived by sons, Gary (Tracy) Burry of Jefferson City, Missouri and Rusty (Ronda) Burry of Fulton; sisters, Carolyn (Dan) Parks of Cocoa, Florida and Sandra Gibson of Americus, Georgia; grandchildren, Ashlea Burry, Steven Burry Jr., Lucas Burry, Tia Burry, Jessie Burry, Declan Burry and Mary Strange; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Montana and Dallas Carinder along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members. She was also preceded in death by her nephew, Shawn Sumner. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Donna's family prefers memorial contributions be made to Hospice Compassus in care of Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, Missouri 65251.
