Josephine A. Parsons

Josephine A. Parsons, 87, of Fulton, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City. She was born in Callaway County on October 5, 1929, the daughter of the late Raymond Sapp and the late Nellie (Baise) Sapp. On November 17, 1950, Josephine was united in marriage to Schubert Dean Parsons. He preceded her in death on May 22, 2002. Josephine enjoyed playing cards, sewing and needle point. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Those remaining to cherish her memory include daughter, Pam Karhoff (Jack) of Auxvasse; brothers, Lawrence Sapp (Carol) of Sunset Hills, and Dean Sapp (Marge Hoffman) of Auxvasse; sister, Shirley Tarrants (Bob) of Auxvasse; sister-in-law, Ora Belle Sapp of Auxvasse; grandchildren, Jackie Karhoff (Lana), Shawn Karhoff (Michelle), Nicole Karhoff (Jade), and Keith Parsons (Tina); and great-grandchildren, Travis Karhoff (Channing), Brittney Karhoff (Adam Cramer) and Deserré Parsons. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Raymond "Bubby" Parsons and infant son, Lawrence Eugene Parsons; brothers, Ray "Junior" Sapp and Joe Sapp; and sister, Sharon E. Curran and infant sister, Betty Ruth Sapp. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Auxvasse Cemetery.
