Martha Catherine DeBruler, 97, of Bethany, passed away Friday, May 20, 2016, at Titus Manor, Sullivan. Martha was born on January 22, 1919, in Bethany, the daughter of William Aaron and Barbara Estella (Walker) DeBruler. She attended grade school and high school in Bethany. She was a homemaker and caregiver. Martha is a member of the First Christian Church in Bethany and was a member of the Sullivan Country Club. Martha enjoyed her life at Titus Manor and cherished the many friends who cared daily for her with great kindness and respect. It was her hope to remain at Titus Manor despite her failing health and her friends there made that possible. Her family will always be grateful. Martha's very good friend, Mary Gaither was by her side during her final days. Miss DeBruler is survived by: her nephew's wife, Marilee McCallister of Fulton, Mo.; great-niece, Lynn Ann McCallister of Overland Park, Kan.; a great-nephew, Brian Forrest McCallister, his wife Cyndy and their children, Kyle, Mitchell and Jillian, of Kansas City, Mo.; and by her devoted friends, Mary Gaither and family of Bethany. Miss DeBruler was preceded in death by: her sisters, Wanda Lorene DeBruler, Pauline Bernice (DeBruler) McCallister; her brother-in-law, Raymond Forrest McCallister; and her nephew, Raymond Forrest McCallister Jr. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 29, 2016, at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Bethany. Visitation will be held after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2016, at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Bethany. Burial will be in Marrowbone Township Cemetery, Bethany.
