Delois C Leonberger

Delois C. Leonberger, 83, of Auxvasse, was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, May 21, 2016. She was born on August 1, 1932, in Eaton, Ark., the daughter of the late William Everett Neece and the late Pearl (Oldham) Neece. Delois was united in marriage to Willie Roy Leonberger. He survives her passing. Delois retired from Williamsburg Elementary School. She was a member of New Beginnings Full Gospel Community Church. Delois volunteered at the soup kitchen and was always cooking for someone. She was best known for her famous chicken and dumplings and her awesome biscuits and gravy. Along with her husband, Delois will be fondly remembered by sons, Jerry Michael "Mike" Brown (Sheila) of Auxvasse and Jerry Wayne Brown (Lisa) of Elkhart, Ind.; daughters, Laquetia Jeanette Flanagan (Jay) of Seymour, Mo. and Sandy Jane Richardson (Casey) of Goshen, Ind.; brothers, Eldridge Neece (Cletis) of Pocahontas, Ark. and Eugene Neece (Peggy) of Rockford, Ill.; sisters, Joyce Simmons (Eldon) of Imboden, Ark. and Wilda Johnson (Ed) of Marmaduke, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Jimmy D. Brown. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016, at New Beginnings Full Gospel Community Church, 380 Old Highway 54 in Auxvasse, with Reverend Jim Baggett officiating.
