Agnes Wilhelmine Peterson, 81, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on May 18, 2016, at The Bluffs in Columbia, Missouri. Agnes was born on December 12, 1934, in Nordenham, Germany to Wilhelm and Alice Campen Luhring and they preceded her in death. She was married to David Peterson on January 25, 1958, in West New York, New Jersey and he preceded her in death in 2011. She grew up in Germany and moved to Canada when she was 18 years old. She then moved to Ohio and lived with some family members before moving to New Jersey where she met her husband, David. She was raised in the Lutheran church. Agnes was meticulous and organized and she enjoyed reading and putting puzzles together. Her life was centered on her family. She will be remembered as a great mother and as someone who always put others first. She was an excellent seamstress and her entire family loved her cooking. Agnes is survived by her sons, Brian Peterson and his wife, Azalea of New Melle, Missouri and Dennis Peterson and his wife, Tina of Auxvasse, Missouri; brother, Arthur Luhring of Germany; sisters, Wilma Luhring of Germany and Desi Krueger of New Jersey; grandchildren, Hadassah Peterson, Kami Peterson, Jasmine Duncan, Heather Schmerber and David Peterson along with great-grandchildren, Maddox Duncan, Cayden Duncan and Jax Schmerber. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Gertrude and Anna Luhring. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 2400 Bluff Creek Drive, Columbia, Missouri 65201.
