Julia Mae "Judy" Christian, 91, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. Julia was born April 19, 1925 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Charlie and Amanda Foster Arney, who preceded her in death. She was married to Waller Christian on June 7, 1953 at Armour Heights Baptist Church in Kansas City, and he preceded her in death in 2010. She was a graduate of Ruhl-Hartman High School in Kansas City and had worked as a secretary for the Missouri Baptist Association in Jefferson City and William Woods University in Fulton. She also worked for 19 years as the Principal's Secretary at North Callaway High School until her retirement. Julia was a charter member of Southside Baptist Church in Fulton where she was involved with the Girl's Auxiliary and the Women's Missionary Union. She was also a member of Missouri Association of Educational Secretaries and the Gideon's Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed piecing quilts and traveling but her greatest love was spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren's sporting and school activities. Julia is survived by her son, David (Neva) Christian of Bloomington, Illinois; daughter, Julie (Stephen) Zvacek of Lee's Summit, Missouri; grandchildren, Doug (Jessica) Zvacek of Lee's Summit, Beth (Rob) Chapman of Liberty Township, Ohio, Katie Zvacek and her fianc Andrew Snow of Kansas City, Missouri, Leah Christian of Richardson, Texas, Tanner Christian and his fianc McCall Christopher of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Mackenzie Christian of Bloomington, Illinois; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Jeffrey, June and Sam along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Southside Baptist Church, 501 S. Business 54 in Fulton. Entombment will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 501 S.
