Betty L. Pointer

Betty L. Pointer, 72, of Fulton, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, while surrounded by her family. She was born on April 26, 1944, in Vienna, Mo., the daughter of the late Charles M. Pointer and the late Lydia Mae (Rowe) Pointer. Betty worked for more than 21 years as a Corrections Office for Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center. She enjoyed painting, sewing crafts, and making life beautiful through gardening. Betty attended Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include son, Donald Beauchamp (Kristie Steffen) of Fulton; brothers, James Pointer (Norma) of Vienna, and Virgil Pointer (Jamie) of Odessa; granddaughter, Heather Beauchamp of Jefferson City; and grandsons, Tanner, Gabriel and Jacob Steffen of Fulton. Along with her parents, Betty was preceded in death by an infant sister. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 19, 2016, at Southside Baptist Church in Fulton with Pastor Guy Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
