Furlum Ora "Joe" Manning

Furlum Ora "Joe" Manning, 77, of Portland, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at his home. He was born on April 25, 1939, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of the late Phillip Vohsen and the late Sarah (Ellrich) Vohsen. Joe proudly served his county in the United States Navy. He worked as a carpenter for Local 97 out of St. Louis. Joe is survived by his children, Rick Manning (Wendy), Renee Banks (Ray), and Jaqueline Haney; sisters, Nancy Painter (Jim) and Phyllis Bohnert (Jr.); and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Joe was preceded in death by brother, Clyde Vohsen. A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Indian Camp Creek Park, 2679 Dietrich Road in Foristell, Mo.
