Jimmy Lewis Spires

Mr. Jimmy Lewis Spires (PTL), age 80, of Clearwater, S.C., passed away Friday, May 30, 2014, at home. Jimmy was born in Warrenville, S.C. on September 16, 1933. Jimmy was employed by God as a Minister of the Gospel, also 20 years at Kimberly Clark as a Truck Driver and the owner and operator of Jimmy's Lock and Key. Jimmy is lovingly remembered by his sons, Gerald (Dana) Spires of Fulton, Mo. and Carey (Hope) Spires of Warrenville, S.C.; grandchildren, Chris (Joy) Spires, Heather Curry, Stephanie (Jordan) Carey, Doug Spires, Kayla Brown, Charity Brown, Shelby Powell, and eight great-grandchildren. Jimmy will also be affectionately remembered by a brother, Lester (Joann) Spires; a sister, Betty Jean Rucker and a host of nieces and nephews. Jimmy was predeceased by his Sweetie of 62 years, Clara Scott Spires; his mother and step-father, Sarah and Albert Phillips; his father, Andrew Spires and his son, Robert L. Spires. The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Warrenville Revival Center, Warrenville, S.C. officiated by Pastor Leroy Beard. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be James Cosnahan, Chris Spires, Doug Spires, Ricky Rucker and Bug Futch.
