Julia P. Salmons, 96, of Fulton, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013, at the Fulton Manor. She was born January 17, 1917, in Fulton, the daughter of the late William and Lottie (Harris) Morris. On October 7, 1933, she was married to Raymond J. Salmons in Fulton. He preceded her in death on January 7, 1999. Julia was a homemaker. She was a member of Church Of God Holiness. She is survived by three sons, Orivell (Helen) Salmons and Lain (Patricia) Salmons, both of Fulton, and Douglas (Glenda) Salmons of New Bloomfield; one daughter, Shirley (Hugh) Staats of Fulton; 13 grandchildren, 24 great- grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Elvira Hockemeyer; two brothers, Elwood Morris and Charlie Morris; and one sister, Virginia Morris. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m,, Friday, January 3, 2014, at the Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
