Thomas Jefferson Cooper Jr., better known as T.J. and Zack, 38, of Fulton, became one of God's angels on Friday, February 7, 2014. He was born in Columbia, Mo. on December 10, 1975, the son of Dr. Thomas J. and Sharlyn L. Cooper Sr. T.J. graduated from Fulton High School and attended Lincoln University. He was united in marriage to Jennifer Mirts on October 18, 2003. T.J. was a loving father with a very big heart. He loved spending time with his children, family, and friends. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking and eating, spending time outdoors, working on projects around the house, and coaching and inspiring his children. He knew many people and touched several hearts. T.J. will be missed by all who knew him. T.J is survived by his wife, Jennifer; three children, Zachery, Zoey, and Zaya; parents, Dr. Thomas J. and Sharlyn Cooper Sr.; siblings, Shellie Cooper Lee, Keith Cooper, and Shayla Cooper; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Thomas was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Louise Cooper Sr.; maternal grandmother; Modenuia Avery; and two very close friends, Billy Bob Barton and Brad Oetting. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at Victory Fellowship Church in Fulton. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens. Repass will follow at Victory Fellowship Church.
