Annabelle Barnham

Mrs. Annabelle Branham, 78, of Fulton, departed this life on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at Fulton Nursing and Rehab. She was born September 23, 1935, in Readsville, Mo., one of three children born to the union of Frank William Taylor Sr. and Corean Taylor. On August 13, 1955, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Floyd (Bob) Branham, with whom she spent 56 years. Annabelle was blessed with a mothering spirit and she loved caring for children. She has touched the lives of countless children of both family and friends. She would babysit some, adopt some, always loving them all and they all loved her back. Annabelle is survived by her sister, Margaret Ewing; nephews, George Taylor Jr. of Pasedena, Calif. Paul Taylor Sr. of San Diego, Calif., Elston Taylor Sr. of St. Louis, Mo., Ernest Marshall of Cleveland, Ohio, William J. (Lesa) Branham of Springfield, Ill., George W. Wilson, Plano, Texas. and Bobby E. Wilson of Springfield, Ill.; nieces Lois Sanders of Kansas City, Mo., Judy Thomas of Kansas City, Kan.. Sandra S. (Burtis) Buchanan of North Hollywood, Calif., Tilma J. (Leonard) Hubbard of Springfield, Ill., and Alberta Joann Wilson of Edwardsville, Ill.; and a host of cousins, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at St. James United Methodist Church, 703 Westminster Avenue in Fulton with Pastor Joe LaPries officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will follow at Southside Cemetery.
