Jewell G. Holland, 99, of Fulton, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 20, 2013, at Presbyterian Manor in Fulton. She was born December 17, 1913, the daughter of the late Edgar and Mary (Thomas) Garrett. On October 23, 1949, she married Charley Holland in Kansas City, Missouri. Charley preceded her in death on July 30, 1997. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, Helen Snook (Eddie) of Mission, Kan., Harley Garrett (Fay), Christine Houchins (Bill), Pauline Kroell all of Fulton, Travis Garrett (Sharon) of Harrisonville, Mo., David Garrett (Carol) of Fenton, Mo. and Robert O'Neal (Norma) of Houston, Texas. Having no children of her own, she considered her nieces and nephews as her children. Jewell was a member of the Reform Community Club. She was noted for her cooking. She ran the Reform Store starting at the age of 16. Jewell was a caregiver for her parents until their death. She was dearly loved by the community. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Darrell Garrett, Lloyd Garrett, Oran Garrett, infant brother; four sisters, Pauline Williams, Ruth Maddox, Jessie Myrtle Sewell and Anna May O'Neal. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton, with Rev. Gary Garrett and Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in Callaway Memorial Garden Cemetery.
