Margot Gruenefeld

Margot B.M. Gruenefeld, 86, of Fulton, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013, at her home. She was born October 17, 1926, in West Germany, the daughter of the late George and Magdalena (Huber) Hubner. Margot was united in marriage to Gilbert Gruenefeld on April 10, 1956. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2008. Margot enjoyed reading, writing in her journal and crocheting. She also liked to watch birds and cartoons. The most enjoyable times in her life were spent with her family. Margot will be lovingly remembered by her son, Willy Brandl and his wife Opal of Fulton; grandchildren, Nick Brandl and wife Erika, Wade Brandl, and Tara Brandl; great-grandchildren, Trenton and Devin Brandl; brother, Frank Hoffman and his wife Betty of N¸renberg, Germany; and special friend, Venita Renner. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service at Maupin Funeral Home.
