Dorothy Evelyn Illig

Dorothy Evelyn Illig, 83, of Raytown, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013, at her home. She was born June 11, 1930, in Steedman, Mo., the daughter of the late Guy and Annie (Krebs) Bezler. Dorothy worked as a clerk at the University of Missouri Kansas City until her retirement. She was a lifetime member of Countryside Methodist Church in Raytown. She will be fondly remembered by her sons, Steve Illig of Raytown, and Greg Illig of Allen, Texas; and sisters, Meta Laurie of Fulton and May Wendring of Steedman. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Readsville. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Maupin Funeral Home.
