Annette Fenley

Annette Fenley, 74, of St. James, Mo., passed away Monday, September 2, 2013, at Parkside Assisted Living Center in Rolla, Mo., after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born September 9, 1938, in Fulton, Mo., Ella Antoinette Houf was the daughter of the late Paul K. and Dorothy (Kresl) Houf. On December 24, 1955, she was united in marriage to Dillard Fenley who preceded her in death on June 14, 2001. Annetteís passion was her family, church, and flowers. She was most happy with her hands in the dirt caring for several hundred varieties of flowers and plants. She shared her horticultural enthusiasm with the St. James Garden Club and with her brothers at the family farm in Fulton, Mo. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Shari Farrens of Boise, ID; son, Randy (Lori) Fenley of Grand Forks, N.D.; brothers, Garry (Connie) Houf and Larry (Jody) Houf of Rolla, Mo. Annette leaves behind a legacy of three amazing grandchildren: Michael Fenley, Jackie Farrens, and AJ Farrens. She is loved and remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Annette was blessed to have been under the incredible care of Parkside Assisted Living and the Phelps County Hospice Care for which we are eternally grateful. Memorial Services will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. James, Mo., at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2013. Internment at the Houf Farm with the immediate family will be on Sunday, September 15, 2013. All arrangements are under the direction of James & Gahr Mortuary of Rolla, Mo.
