Mary Timbrook

Mary "Helen" Timbrook, 64, of Columbia, Mo., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 5, 2013, after battling muscular dystrophy for three and a half years. Helen was born July 3, 1949, in Jefferson City, Mo., to Clifford and Margie Scheulen Hewitt. On January 4, 1970, she married Rev. Sam Timbrook in New Bloomfield, Mo. and he survives. She taught for many years at North Callaway and New Franklin Public Schools. She was a member of Prairie Grove Baptist Church. She was involved in Community Service outside the Church by serving on various boards and agencies. She was sought after as a conference leader across the United States on the topic of "Families with Special Needs". For the last several years she was faithful in the Card Ministry of the church. She was a loving wife and mother. Survivors include: her husband, Rev. Sam Timbrook; mother, Margie Hewitt of New Bloomfield; two sons, Grant (Cindy) Timbrook and Ryan Timbrook and two sisters, Joyce Bonnett of Holts Summit and Glenda Siegel of New Bloomfield. Services will be at 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 9, 2013, at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel, 1610 N. Garth Ave., Columbia, Mo., with Rev. Roger Hatfield officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at Callaway Memorial Gardens, Fulton, Mo.
