Phillip Sessler, 56, of Centralia, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013, at his home. He was born March 1, 1957, in Richmond, Va., the son of Paul W. and Esther (Stiers) Sessler. On August 21, 1977, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane (MJ) Linn Sessler who survives at their home. Phillip retired from Fulton State Hospital where he worked as a security aide. He loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed taking out-of-state trips on his Harley Davidson motorcycle with Kenny Morse and Donnie Fowler. Many special times were spent simply enjoying his friends and family. In addition to his wife and mother, Esther Levings, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, Jesse (Amanda) Sessler and Clayton (Amanda) Sessler; two brothers, Cecil Sessler and John (Debbie) Sessler; two sisters, Carol (Jack) Giacona, and Mary "Sis" Reid; brother-in-law, Jimmy Linn; sisters-in-law, Beth (Mark) Heape, Margaret Sessler, and Tess Sessler; mother-in-law, Anne E. Linn; grandchildren, Dylan, Lucas, Hailey, Clara, Kanyon, Mitchell, and Jesse; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul W. Sessler; and brothers, Paul, Leon, and Joe Sessler. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Crowson officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Columbia. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home.
