Edna June Backer Blackburn, 86, of Fulton, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013, at her home. She was born June 16, 1927, in Fulton, the daughter of the late Dewey and Lora (Noble) Backer. She was married to Robert Blackburn in Fulton who preceded her in death. Edna worked as a dietary cook at the hospital. She was an avid bowler and truly loved the game. She is survived by her life partner, Wayne Rapps; two daughters, Lois Ann Barnes (Jack) and Vickie McKinney (Kent); two sons, Dewey Bullard (Judy) and Robert Dean Blackburn (Debbie); grandchildren, Rick, Toshua, Jackie, Kelly, Bobbie, Travis, Buddy and Keith; as well as numerous great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dewey and Dean Backer; and two grandsons, Dewey Bullard Jr. and Chuckie Bullard. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 24, at the Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Mike Crowson officiating. Burial will follow in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
