Kimberly Dawn Leisinger, 39, of Mokane, passed away Friday, October 11, 2013. She was born January 30, 1974, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Donald and Gloria Taylor of Mokane. Kim was united in marriage to Terry Leisinger on August 22, 1998. He survives at their home. Kim enjoyed poetry and listening to music. She had an affinity for animals of all kinds. She loved watching St. Louis Cardinals and NASCAR, especially her favorite driver, Carl Edwards. Kim loved sitcoms and watched episodes of Friends over and over. The most special times in her life were those spent with her family and friends. Kim is survived by her husband of 15 years; her parents; children, Brooke Leisinger, Jorden Ellis, and Zachary Leisinger; brother, Shawn (Andrea) Taylor of Mokane; niece, Samantha Taylor of Mokane; and best friends, Deston Hunt of Mokane, Tessa Crawford of Steedman, and Wendy Benne of Jefferson City. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mokane Cemetery.
