Linda L. Cloud

Linda L. Cloud, 68, of Fulton, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. She was born July 25, 1945, in Fulton, the daughter of the late Walter Ollie Sims and the late Jessie Ruth (Peterson) Sims. Linda was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Cloud on June 14, 1963. He survives at their home. Prior to retirement, Linda worked as a secretary at Missouri School for the Deaf. She was a member of First Christian Church. Linda was an excellent cook and talented artist who enjoyed painting. Her hobbies included reading, gardening and crafts. Linda's memory will forever be cherished by her husband of 50 years, Dick; daughter, Jennifer Cloud (Bob Laing) of Bonner Spring, Kan.; brother, Terry (Anita) Sims of Oakville, Mo.; sister, Lou Ann (Tom) Terrell of Olathe, Kan.; nephews, Scott (Robin) Sims of Dallas, Texas., and Paul (Teresa) Cloud; niece, Lisa Matthews of Columbia, Ill.; great nieces, Stacey Skinner and Amanda Cloud; great nephews Fischer Simms, and Joey and Jacob Matthews. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Private family entombment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
