Garnell Bramon Watson, 85, of Fulton, passed away Friday, November 22, 2013, at M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas, surrounded by loved ones. She was born April 30, 1928, in Fulton, the daughter of the late Gerald Bramon Sr. and the late Zula (Williams) Bramon. She was married to Lloyd Emerson Watson on July 11, 1952. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Watson attended Fulton Public Schools and graduated from Mokane High School. She graduated from Central Missouri State with a BS in Education. Mrs. Watson taught elementary school for 36 years in Portland, Holman, Union, Pacific, Washington and retired from Bush Elementary School in Fulton in 1984. Her many pastimes included painting, collecting antiques, crocheting, knitting, fishing, playing cards, mushroom hunting and going to garage sales. The times that meant most to Garnell were those spent with her family. She was a member of the Missouri State Teacher's Association, Missouri Retired Teacher's Association, and Daughters of the American Revolution. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sheila Watson of Richmond, Texas; grandchildren, Garrick, Aleisha and Stephanie DiCiro; siblings, Gerald Bramon Jr. and wife Nina of Columbia, Thomas Bramon of Centralia, Eugene Bramon and wife Carol of Mexico, Sharon Krebs and husband Darrell of Mokane, and Ramona Warner and husband Kenneth of Mokane; special friend, Forrest Backer Jr.; 19 nieces and nephews; 34 great-nieces and nephews; three great-great-nieces and nephews; several cousins; and many loved ones. Along with her parents and husband, Garnell was preceded in death by her siblings, Betty Atkinson and Gary Bramon. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations can be made to M. D.
