William Ogden

William (Bill) Ogden, 81, of Columbia, Mo., passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013, in Boone Hospital after a battle with cancer. He was born December 13, 1931 in Rush Run, Ohio. He served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1958. Bill married Phyllis Barkwell on December 27, 1957 and she survives. He retired from MODOT after a 30 year career as a supervisor. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother, Joseph Ogden and wife Nancy of Cairo, Mo.; one granddaughter, Renee (Joel); one grandson, Zechariah; one daughter-in-law, Jeannie Ogden; several in-laws, Billy Ray and Debbie Thomas, Bill and Mary McQuegge, David and Cheryl Thomas, Jerry and Pam Thomas, and Emily Edwards; and several nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one brother, and a son, Greg Ogden who passed away September 21, 2013.
